In the case of this variety the blotches tend to be large and discrete and, to be momentarily technical, the limb spathe is unstained. In all other respects it is the same as the type and has all its attributes … but the discrete dots are very beguiling! It is a plant of the islands being found in Cyprus, Rodos and I have also seen it on Samos.
