Clusters of heavily textured, open-cupped, lightly tessellated pink flowers in early autumn before the leaves, which are neat, short and very tidy. This free-flowering species from Italy and southern France is a great addition to the rock garden or an excellent subject for a trough or pot. Gift from the late, great Harry Hay of Margery Farm.
