Crocus biflorus subsp. nubigena
Essentially a plant of Western Turkey but occurs on a handful of adjacent Greek islands where it is rare. Lilac-blue spring flowers striped and feathered on the outside with purple. Striking black anthers contrasting dramatically with a yellow throat and orange-yellow stigma.
