Crocus sieberi subsp. sublimis ‘Tricolor’

Bowles once described its flowers as looking as “a richly purple egg… resting in a golden cup tied with a white napkin”. A profusion of late winter flowers which are of a rich purple with a deep-yellow throat surrounded by a broad white band.
