Myosotidium hortensia

A slightly bizarre but wonderful plant that’s native to the Chatham Islands south of New Zealand. Its large glossy green leaves, which look a bit like bergenia, provide the perfect background to the large clusters of sky-blue, Forget-me-Not-style flowers that appear during the summer. Requires light shade, lots of compost or a naturally moist, rich soil, it also does very well in containers however frequent watering is essential, as is a quality potting mix.
