Raoulia hookeri

Tightly-packed creeping mats of tiny rosettes of spoon-shaped silvery leaves. This is an evergreen New Zealand alpine which in summer bears small, pale yellow-green flowers covering the silver sheet with a honeyed haze. Requires reasonably sharp drainage and protection from excessive winter wet but when planted in a trough or in a slightly sheltered rock garden it is a beautiful subject
