Achillea cretica

A cushion-forming species from Crete with attractive evergreen, grey-green, finely cut leaves and bearing flattened clusters of large, white, daisy-like flowers on 15cm stem in spring. These are incredibly long-lasting; hanging on  until early summer. A rare but exceptionally easy subject for the rock garden or a dry bank.
