A spectacular plant and while strictly not a true lilium, it is well known as the “Giant Lily of the Himalayas”. From a basal rosette of massive heart-shaped leaves the stem reaches beyond 3m and bears up to 25 very large creamy-white trumpet-shaped flowers, each marked reddish-purple inside. Enjoys partial shade in deep, nutrient and humus rich soil. Lovely young bulbs that are 3 years to flowering
