A beautiful mat-forming evergreen perennial from the Caucasus making numerous rosettes of finely cut silver leaves and in summer bears exquisite, mid-pink, thistle-like flowers on 15cm stems. Gently spreads by underground creeping rhizomes and is a wonderful subject for a dry rock garden or bank.
